Coexist would like to invite all those graduates that have finished their degrees and are now busting with enthusiasm and knowledge but are lacking something to get their teeth into. We have several projects within the Coexist project that need your help. We are forming crack teams to support the existing management here at Hamilton House in a drive to capitalise on all the hard work that has gone in to date. So get in touch if you are proactive, energetic and feel motivated by the core Coexist principle of working openly together for the benefit of the whole. Melting Pot
17 June 2009
The Evening Post states in an article published on the 16th June that: "It used to be an infamous haunt for street drinkers in Bristol. But now Hamilton House office block is becoming one of the most sought-after locations in the city."
Suzanne Savill goes on to say: "Oli and Jamie’s plans for Hamilton House extend beyond setting up a unique eating place at the front of the building, beneath Banksy’s famous Mild, Mild West mural of a teddy bear with a petrol bomb. The pair are two of the four directors of Coexist, a company set up last year to manage what it describes as “spaces in which people can coexist with themselves, with each other, and the environment”.

Coexist is buzzing with various projects and now it's time for you to be a part of it! Get in touch if you want to be a part of something a little bit special in Bristol's Cultural Quarter.
Teams to get involved with include:
- The events team, who gather each week to plan our seriously cool schedule of gigs, parties and events and its worth getting involved if only to marvel at the amount of cake that gets eaten in any one meeting!
- The hosting team, who are on hand to show people round Hamilton House, explain the project, enrol new tenants, manage the hotdesking floor and generally have a really lovely time with all the inspirational people that seem to gravitate towards this project.
- Self Harmony, this is a co-project of Coexist (selfharmony.org) which aims to empower vulnerable individuals who for various reasons feel socially excluded. They do this by holding creative writing courses, song writing courses, drawing sessions, and many more creative activities that prove time after time to be a very effective route out of trouble for lots of people.
- And many, many more.
We would love to hear from you.

A new local paper for Stokes Croft is spreading a news of sorts and ruffling some feathers along the way. The Stokes Croft Toff has a squiffy view on life and what could be more appropriate for the Croft? Only tenuous links to reality can be found within the pages of this new rag and some locals are battling with the blurred reality. This totally independantly run paper is growing fast and will hopefully become a permanent fixture on the Croft and provide a welcome antidote to the more subversively untruthful press that is found in the mainstream. Coexist say well done Toff!!

Coexist's latest weekend of events rock the party that rocks the party! Electric Presence open mic night, Hicksville Hoedown charity do and Blackout Drum and Base night all went off in style to further confirm that 80 Stokes Croft is becoming the place be for a right good knees up! Hicksville Hoedown was the highlight by all accounts where the whole place turned into a deep south barn dance courtesy of the Wonder Club an artist led organisation creating space for artists to make performance, live art and theatre in Bristol. The events taking place at 80 Stokes croft are scaling up soon with a permanent license being granted and the Canteen opening up on the ground floor, keep your eyes peeled for the next big weekend of fun...
